SUBJ THE OTHER REPUBLICAN
(NORTH BEACH BUREAU)--Now that most of the attention has been given to the frontrunner, it's time to see what the also rans are doing, and saying..
John Kasich, that dude from somewhere back on the farm, showed up in SF to promote himself and whoever he hasn't yet picked for a running mate. First thing out of his mouth was his stand on gay rights.
Kasich has walked a fine line on the issue, saying that he does not support same-sex marriage but that he also has attended a gay wedding.
That's great but no thanks, we already have a guy in office that's been having it both ways for eight years.
“Do I think people are born gay? Probably. I’ve never studied the issue,"
Kasich was obviously born yesterday and if he expects to make any headway on the Left Coast, he better look into it, along with the question over to legalize pot. If he's never studied the issue, he apparently is prejudiced by adding the "Probably" followup.
Next, the "chill pill" business, encouraging people to pop pills to get along, so if the chill pill doesn't work, try a barbiturate. The big pharm companies love to hear talk like this, can see the Board meeting at Berkshire right now..
"What's a chill pill"
"Dunno, but probably we should study the issue."
"Is there a chillpill-dot-com out there yet."
"I'll check with GoDaddy."
Run an ad on Facebook, do a photoshopped Instagram photo, show Kasich holding a chill pill standing under a Haight-Ashbury street sign.
